About Me

Edward Quintero — Mechanical Engineering Student in Miami, FL

Hi, my name is Edward. I’m a high school student in Miami, FL, beginning my Mechanical Engineering studies at Miami Dade College while pursuing projects that connect hardware, software, and design. My path into technology has always been about curiosity — from disassembling toys as a kid to building robotics systems, custom telemetry kits, and AI-powered tools.

My first serious projects centered on robotics and automation. I’ve led development of systems that link hardware sensors to real-time data pipelines, using ESP32 boards and custom protocols. That curiosity expanded into software and infrastructure: I’ve built apps and websites that emphasize clean design and reliability, while also diving deep into homelabbing. I enjoy tailoring systems for containerization and Docker, experimenting with servers, and optimizing workflows for scale and resilience.

Entrepreneurship has been another throughline. Running my small cookie business gives me both hands-on business experience and the joy of turning something I love into value. My larger projects — DotList (a productivity app ecosystem) and Doral Telemetry (a robotics hardware kit) — have taught me as much about teamwork and iteration as they have about code or circuits.

What drives me is building practical systems that work — whether that means fine-tuning a robot, creating software that feels seamless, or making technology more approachable for others.

Outside of projects, I enjoy cooking, tinkering with servers, designing workflows, and pushing myself in the gym — chasing a new PR never gets old. I’m drawn to challenges that demand both technical precision and creative problem-solving, and I see every project as another step toward becoming an engineer who builds things that last.
